Local News…
Somebody could probably learn a thing or two from Smokey the Bear. As a result of all of the strong winds in our area, a campfire left unattended ignited to start a forest fire. Thirty-two year old Andrew Frake was camping in a wooded are off of the Seneca Trail on Friday when he decided to extinguish the campfire and leave. Unfortunately the fire was apparently not fully extinguished and reignited. It then spread quickly via high winds to burn approximately 500 acres of the Pinelands in Burlington County. Firefighters brought the wildfire under control Sunday morning, and Frake was arrested later that day on arson charges.

National News…
Ever since the attempted car bombing in Times Square, all of New York City has been more alert to suspicious activity. Late Thursday night, an employee for the Con Edison utility company called 911 to report a four-door 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera with two gas cans in the back seat. Every building nearby was evacuated including the Con Edison building and an apartment complex while the NYPD bomb squad used a special bomb detecting robot to X-ray the vehicle and blow out the windows. The gas cans were safely removed without harming anyone. It was later revealed that the owner of the car kept the gas cans for his lawnmower, so no foul play is suspected.

In Other News…
Facebook used to be the most popular social networking site, but in efforts to improve the sites functionality, Facebook Inc. found itself upsetting more of its users with every upgrade. It appears that in recent weeks, more and more people are deleting their Facebook accounts in efforts to rid themselves of the hassle. Facebook’s latest batch of upgrades seem to have only annoyed users with lots of technical bugs and even a reinterpretation of its privacy policy. This has apparently scared some Facebook users into giving up the social network. There has been debate as to whether or not this means the end of Facebook, but for now the rate of deletions is growing until Facebook does something about it.
